Corrie en de Grote Brokken

Guitarist Van Binsbergen glues what is unmalleble — NRC Handelsblad

Corrie en de Grote Brokken: twelve top people from the Dutch pop- and jazz world. Cross-over in the true sense of the word: Cinematic music, pop songs, dialogues, composed and/or improvised parts, hilarious intermezzi, alternate with one another in a fast (and sometimes slow) tempo. Collage style. Brokken means pieces.

Corrie van Binsbergen started her first band Corrie en de Brokken in 1986. It was a genre bending, instrumental sextet that combined all the influences that she liked. In 1996 she founded Corrie en de Grote Brokken. The band played on pop- and jazzstages.

Van Binsbergen made three programs for the band in the period 1996-2006: Corrie en de Grote Brokken I (1996), Kado uit de Hel! (2000) and Het land is moe (2005). In 2011 following on from – Corrie van Binsbergen’s 25th anniversary as a professional musician – she performed the program VIER! with the best of the grote brokken (big chunks) and spectacular new material and finally LAST! in 2014.
